Overview

CSAD is a volunteer led sports club for people with disabilities, started in the early 90’s in co-operation with Chester College, using college facilities and help from students. The club now operates from Queen’s Park High School and is run by a willing band of helpers comprising family, friends and volunteers.

Members are encouraged to participate in all activities and to learn new skills benefiting both their general health and boosting confidence.

A variety of sports are on offer, ranging from football, handball, basketball, uni-hoc, cricket,  badminton to table tennis and bowls. The activities are led by able volunteers who have Enhanced CRB’s and First Aid Certificates.

The club is well attended and runs for three hours on Saturday 12 noon until 3pm with a half hour lunch break where members can socialize and buy refreshments.

A further session is offered on Wednesday evening, 6-7pm at the Northgate Arena, Chester where the emphasis is on ball skills and movement.

CSAD is open to young people / adults with a learning disability aged 14 and over.
